CES research is anchored in a formal partnership with the Economic Competition and Conflict Research Group at King's College London. ECCRG brings together economists, security scholars and defence practitioners around the intersection of economic policy, geopolitical competition and national security — the intellectual foundation of the Preparedness Economy.

The partnership provides CES with access to peer-reviewed academic research, doctoral programmes, and postgraduate teaching. It provides ECCRG, in turn, with a delivery pathway: research insights flow into CES's convenings, working groups and the Bush House Agreement architecture — moving quickly from paper to practice.

The Future of Security Conference — where the Bush House Agreement was agreed — is co-convened by ECCRG and CES at King's College London each year.
